HEY YOU, you are awesome, and I'm not just blowing smoke here. It's a fact. And the sheer fact that you are awesome is your biggest asset. Hang with me for a second here. This isn't just some elaborate flattery session. It's something you need to know.
When you are awesome at something, anything, you gain influence.
There are others out there that want to be able to do what you do. Chances are, you are good at several things: karaoke, video games, math, square dancing, squirrel breeding, I don't know… Chances are better that there is something at which you are awesome. Straight up crazy hella awesome. If you really want to be happy in life, you find that thing at which you are awesome and make it your vocation. How in the world do you do that?
Simple. Marketing…
Broken down into easy steps, it goes like this:
- Learn to be awesome at something
- Be awesome at it
- Find a way to make money at / Promote your awesomeness
- Make Money / Do what you love for a living.
That's it, everything else is details. Now, about those details. You may find that there isn't a big market for people that want to see a guy juggle spoons with his feet, and I hope to God there isn't. But, whatever it is you do, it comes down to learning how to find other people that are interested in what you have to offer the world.
Your brilliance can only shine if it is lifted high enough for others to see it.
I totally just came up with that on my own, I think. But, it's true, you have to become quasi-famous in order to get some attention. The curious thing is that so many people try so hard to imitate others (who are being themselves). It's futile. Those people are famous for being themselves, the world doesn't need another one. So , if that describes you, knock it off! Be you, in all your awesome glory. Be passionate, be funny, be sad, be whoever you are and it is guaranteed that others will connect with you. When you make those real connections, that is when your success starts.
And that little pep talk brings us down to two things:
Finding your target market and getting yourself in front of them with a good offer so that they will give you a few minutes of their ridiculously busy day.
I admit, I am full of awesomeness and humility. There, I said it. It is a terrible burden to bear, as you well know.
A couple things that I have become pretty good at over the past few years are making money online, and building a home business. It's no alligator hunting, or ping-pong dodgeball, but it's my own special talent, and I do pretty well.
So that I can spend my time doing pretty much whatever the heck I want, I use a system that helps me find awesome people like you. I learned how to market myself and my business so that I can make money when I'm Cliff Diving, Competitive Goat Wrangling, or buying tea towels at Bed, Bath & Beyond. Now that's living!
So now that you know that you are awesome, as if everyone didn't already, you should really consider making it your full time job.
